Avina Vyas is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She was born in St. Augustine, Florida but grew up in Orlando, Florida. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Health Education and Behavior from University of Florida in December 2018. She decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia to complete the Physician Assistant program at Emory University and graduated in December2022. Avina is passionate about mental health and confirmed her desire to pursue psychiatryduring her clinical rotations. She decided to move to Houston, Texas to work in psychiatry. She recognizes the importance of not only treating mental health conditions but raising awareness to reduce social stigma. In her personal time, Avina enjoys meditation, yoga, reading books, traveling as well as spending time with her family and friends.
